Bring
your whole family for a day of food and fun!
Our farm is always open for visitors- But today is the day we REALLY open it up- The alleys between the fields are open for the day for better viewing of our bison! You'll be able to see the baby bison calves with their mothers- Or if you are super super lucky- maybe even a birth!
What to Bring:
BINOCULARS!!
CASUAL CLOTHES & Comfortable shoes or boots!! (we are a farm after all)
Read more to see what we have for you!
We are expecting 30 new calves this spring!
This is our annual event- thousands of people come to enjoy a day at the farm. We offer free parking, free guided tours of the farm, and self paced BUFFALO WATCHING. We open up the walkways between the grazing pastures for closer views of the bison herds. We also have piglets, cows, calves, and horses to see as well. Occasionally other farmers will bring their animals (such as pigs (really cute ones!) goats, llamas, and sometimes lambs) to enhance the educational aspect of our event. And, as always, we are available all day to answer any questions you have about bison, raising bison, and whatever else you may want to know.
The Whitehouse First Aid Squad will be providing the food (Readington River Bison Burgers and Franks) . ALL profits go directly to their organization.
Face Painting will be also be provided with the proceeds going to the First Aid Squad.
One of our highlights was tanning demonstration on how to tan a buffalo hide by Ted Seader! Ted resides in New Jersey and displayed and demonstratedmany of his handmade items- If you would like to get information on his products, or if you have any questions for him- Please fell free to contact him at 908-852-8436.
Come take a look in our new Bison Museum to learn how the bison are raised, what they like and don't like-
We'll take you through a brief informational tour of the farm - see the buildings and what we use them for- You'll have plenty of time to ask questions, too!
We'll do handling system demonstrations- so you can pretend that you are a bison about to get it's shots- see everything the way a bison sees it!
Come enjoy the food and scenery of New Jersey's largest, most beautiful (and only)
buffalo farm!!
The parking is free, the farm tours are free, the buffalo watching is free- what can be better than that??
We have already had several new bison calves- Bring your whole family! Most areas are Wheelchair accessible - small children are welcome and encouraged!
The photo above shows a baby bison- nursed
back to health after pneumonia, and unable to keep up with its mother. This
is a very rare photo. Most bison are not this tame. Please avoid harm and
DON'T attempt to get in the fields or cross the fences. Remember Bison are
quite dangerous-Our fences are there for a very good reason- your protection
from the bison!.
